Larisa (she/her/ella) is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in nutrition counseling for pre-diabetes and diabetes. Larisa practices with a holistic view of health that encompasses nutrition as one key part, and that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Larisa found her passion for working with people with all kinds of diabetes while in her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Applied Nutrition. Since her first year at Cal Poly, she has been actively involved with a diabetes youth camp in Sequoia National Forest, which she looks forward to visiting each summer.

Larisa also completed a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish while at Cal Poly after studying abroad for a quarter in Spain. Being fluent in Spanish, she loves to honor her client’s food heritage and cultural preferences while collaborating with them to create individual nutrition care plans.

She completed her dietetic internship at Napa State Hospital and has experience working with all kinds of diabetes and other chronic disease states from a non-diet & weight neutral approach, including cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and gastrointestinal complications, as well as general gentle nutrition across the lifespan. In her free time, Larisa enjoys dancing, yoga and basically anything outdoors.
